Pirates Of The Caribbean

Everyone has one film, one film that no matter how many times you watch you still feel just as excited and amazed as when you first saw it. For me, Pirates of the Caribbean is that film. I highly recommend this film and couldn't give it anything less than 5 stars!

This is not your typical action movie, it doesn't take itself too seriously allowing the film to be more fun and unlike most action movies, the dialogue doesn't get put on hold every time a fight breaks out. Despite the film being over 19 years old now, the special effects have stood the test of time and are still very impressive today.

The film soundtrack is phenomenal. The well-constructed score adds to the excitement of the movie and is in my opinion one of the best soundtracks in film. You will be humming it long after the film has ended.

Of course, it's impossible to talk about this film without mentioning Johnny Depp's iconic performance as Captain Jack Sparrow, and it's hard to imagine anyone else in the role. Jack Sparrow is not a one-dimensional good character like you would expect. We see his bravery when he jumped in the water to save Elisabeth when no one else would, but we also see him steal, threaten and trick people into getting what he wants, making him more complex and more compelling.

I know this movie isn't perfect. There are better films out there but this remains my favorite film of all time.
