Why so much hate for this movie?

I didn't have a problem with it. It's a fun watch that kept me engaged in the story throughout and while I don't regard it as highly as Pixar's other projects eg: Toy Story, Wallie, or Up I still enjoyed my time with it regardless. The animation in this film is stunning. Everything looks so good and the attention to detail is mind-blowing yet they have still managed to retain the Pixar charm we all know and love.

All the characters are likable however Sox Buzz's Feline companion easily was the star and a character I can see becoming a fan favorite soon enough. While I do think this film is good and well worth watching, I doubt this movie will stay with me in the same way other Pixar films have in the past. It feels like it's missing something. It's so close to being a great movie but plays it too safe and ended up being a bit bland in comparison.

Maybe the reason people were disappointed with the film wasn't that the movie sucked. Maybe It just failed to compare to the films that came before it.
