Jurassic World Dominion

Updated: May 9, 2023

⭐⭐

Maybe I'm being too harsh on this film, after all, I consider the original Jurassic Park one of my favorites. Perhaps that is why it let me down so much. While there is nothing I hated about it I struggled to be interested or care about the story. I enjoyed seeing the original cast return and I liked Elle and Allen's relationship but they weren't given much to do. They spend most of the film running around a lab.

The movie does get better towards the end when they enter the dino enclosure but even then it's all seen before and been done better in previous films. I honestly can't think of a reason why anyone would choose to watch this movie over any of the others. Don't get me wrong I loved the Jurassic Park series but they have done the same exact thing in 6 different movies now and it is starting to get pretty stale. What's most disappointing about this film is the potential that it could've had.

There are some amazing shots of the dinosaurs living in our world. I would've loved to of seen more of that, a waste of what was an amazing idea, a shame it wasn't fully realized. I doubt I will be revisiting this movie again but I didn't hate it. If you are a fan of the series it's still worth watching, just don't get you're hopes up because this is not "the conclusion of the Jurassic era" I was waiting for.
